Welcome to Mt. Baldy Reservations
Mt. Baldy Ski Area is well known for what it lacks. Things like crowds, lineups, high prices and that big ski resort feel. What it does have in spades, is fresh Okanagan powder, glades, well maintained packed runs and friendliness. It's a local's mountain!
At Mt. Baldy there is a fierce pride among the locals, which they have every right to. Their forefathers created the ski area and most of the cabins from scratch. They cleared the runs, built the lodge, put up the first lifts and ran the hill for the better part of 30 years. Recently the locals have relinquished control of the operations but the pride of their accomplishments permeates through the mountain.

The new owners of Mt. Baldy Ski Area have made great strides in "modernizing" the area. To their credit they have worked hard to preserve what makes Baldy so special and that's the glade skiing!
Except for holidays, the hill is closed on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to let the hill "rest". She opens sgain on Friday and quite often there is 30-40cm of fresh, untouched powder waiting those who live for those conditions!
For those that prefer not to work that hard, our packing crew take great pride in creating perfectly groomed cruising runs! Watch out though, there might be another person on the same run! Were soo spoiled!
There is a dedicated run off of the Sugarlump Quad for the terrain park and a "Magic Carpet" making it as easy for the beginner to glide up as it is to slide down.
After a long day on the hill you can go back to the cabinand snuggle up in front of the wood stove with a book. If you are not ready to retire you can go down to the Baldy Bar. The atmosphere there is what you'd espect and often thee will be either a pickup band or the cabin owner based "Long John Baldy" band playing some of your favorite "Oldies but Goodies"
Mt. Baldy is an ecperience you won't forget!
